Rahma Ali, MMSc, CGC

Rahma is a licensed, board-certified genetic counselor with prior experience in clinical settings in the field of cancer genetics. She holds a Master’s in Biomedical Science from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and a Master of Medical Science in Human Genetics from Emory University. Her education and clinical experience have allowed her to develop a strong foundation in genetics while gaining a deeper understanding of the many ways genetic information can impact individuals and families. Through her work in cancer genetics, Rahma has had the opportunity to help patients navigate complex information and has developed a strong appreciation for the role of genetic counseling in connecting scientific knowledge with meaningful patient care.

Rahma is deeply passionate about using her background in genetics to help address gaps in health education and access to care. She recognizes that many individuals and communities may not have the same opportunities to learn about genetics or access specialized resources, and she hopes to help bridge this gap through education, outreach, and advocacy. During a time when many people are facing uncertainty and challenges within healthcare, Rahma is committed to being a source of support and knowledge for others. She hopes to make genetics more approachable and understandable while encouraging individuals to become active participants in their own healthcare. Her passion for helping others continues to motivate her to expand her knowledge, share what she learns, and contribute to a more equitable healthcare experience for all.

In her free time, Rahma enjoys watching movies and shows, traveling, planning events, and spending time with family and friends.
