Dr. Matthew Williams is a hematologist-oncologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders and cancer. A Maryland native, Dr. Williams earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park Honors College before receiving his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed both his internal medicine residency and his hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he served as Chief Fellow. He also held an academic appointment as Assistant Instructor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in hematology and medical oncology, and is a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Dr. Williams has a strong interest in advancing cancer care through research, education, and innovation. His published work includes research in acute myeloid leukemia, Hodgkin lymphoma, cellular therapies, and plasma cell disorders. He has presented educational lectures on solid tumors, pancreatic cancer, hematologic malignancies, and emerging cancer therapies, including adoptive cellular therapy and CAR T-cell therapy. In his practice, he is committed to evidence-based, personalized care and to partnering with patients to understand their options at every step.

In his free time, Dr. Williams enjoys hiking and traveling with his wife and daughter.
