Biography
Nadia Ashai, MD, is a fellowship-trained, double-board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist at Maryland Oncology Hematology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, followed by residency training at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She then completed a fellowship in oncology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Ashai treats all types of hematologic and oncologic conditions, with a special interest in breast cancer care and prevention. Dr. Ashai was a member of the Breast Leadership Program at BayCare St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL. She was on faculty at Georgetown University’s Lombardi Cancer Center where she practiced breast oncology and served as principal investigator for breast cancer treatment trials. In her clinical practice, Dr. Ashai focuses on offering the latest evidence-based treatment options to her patients. She works in partnership with her patients and educates them about the multitude of treatment options that are now available, including targeted therapies and other forms of personalized medicine. Dr. Ashai has a husband and three children that she likes to hike, read, and travel with.
