Biography
Dr. Luqman Dad, MD, MBA, is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist, healthcare leader, and educator. He serves as Service Line Chief of Radiation Oncology for Maryland Oncology Hematology and Medical Director of Radiation Oncology for Adventist Health at White Oak and Shady Grove.
A Maryland native, Dr. Dad returns after serving at Columbia University Irving Medical Center as Co-Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Program and Director of Global Engagement and Outreach. There, he expanded multidisciplinary services, improved access, enhanced tumor boards through digital workflows, developed patient education programs, mentored trainees and international scholars, and chaired the Radiation Oncology Section of the NY State Radiological Society.
Dr. Dad earned his BA in Biology and MD from Boston University and an Executive MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. A U.S. Fulbright Scholar studying cancer care and public health in South Asia, he completed his internship at Tufts-New England Medical Center and residency at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, where he served as Chair of ARRO.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dad has combined clinical excellence with leadership, innovation, education, and service, publishing extensively, presenting nationally and internationally, and holding leadership roles with ASTRO, including helping establish the ARRO-ASTRO Global Health Scholars Program.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Urdu, Dr. Dad has been recognized as a Top Doctor in Maryland and D.C. for multiple consecutive years. His mission is to deliver compassionate, patient-centered cancer care while developing innovative oncology programs that improve outcomes and expand access.
