Your First Visit
We understand that you may feel anxious about your first visit. You can be certain that we will do everything we can to make you and your family comfortable. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to make you feel more at ease.
To make your first visit to Maryland Oncology Hematology go smoothly and to reduce wait time, please complete the New Patient Forms in their entirety. Kindly, print them and bring them to your first appointment.
You’ll find your particular offices forms on this page: —–Patient Forms
Your first appointment will be comprehensive, so you should plan to spend an hour or more with us. Please arrive 20 minutes before your appointment to complete a few forms.
Every effort will be made to explain your diagnosis and initial treatment plan and any associated processes during your first visit. However, sometimes a follow-up visit is necessary for this. Most likely, chemotherapy or radiation treatment will not begin on your initial visit.
Treatment plans can be complex, so you may find it helpful to bring another person with you. We also encourage you and your family to ask questions about any information that is not clear, or that you want to learn more about.
