Biography
Amanda Rowland, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C, OCN is a board-certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner with over 18 years of nursing experience in hematology and oncology. Amanda received an Associate of Science in nursing at Montgomery College and a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Capella University. She then earned a Master of Science in nursing as an adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner from Wilkes University.
Her nursing career began in the acute setting where she cared for medical-surgical and hematology-oncology patients at Doctors Community Hospital. The rapidly evolving treatment modalities leading to improved health outcomes and greater survivorship, combined with the need for continuous education to remain current, solidified her passion for oncology. In 2013, she joined Maryland Oncology Hematology after many years of hospital nursing and a desire to transition to an outpatient-based community cancer care setting.
Amanda is a dedicated nurse practitioner who strives to provide evidence-based care with an individualized, patient-centered approach. She enjoys learning about her patients and developing meaningful and professional provider-patient relationships. Amanda is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
